The Riviera
Olivia Boa: The infinitely small is made of atoms, which are always moving and vibrating, and thus cannot be observed. Still the infinitely small is the basis of larger landscapes, nature and buildings, which look immutable. Each pixel represents a molecule, with its own color and properties. Olivia Boa created a contrast between the infinitely small, the pixels, and the infinitely large, the landscape.
The result is a series of abstract impressionist work called ‘Figurative Pixels’. Works in this collection have two dimensions: the microscopic and macroscopic point of views, representing the molecular and landscape levels.
