Living under the flight path of my local airfield and having second world war fighters scream overhead declared to me as a four-year-old that aeroplanes were beautiful dreams. Since then, flying and aviation has been what I've breathed in my life. grew up flying models and drawing these machines, in hope that one day I'd be flying them myself, feeling the wind beneath my wings. But It wasn't until the last 6 years or so that started taking aviation art seriously, using It to fund my flying lessons as well as motivating ambitions. Anyone who has been following my work for a while will notice that focus on many old military types - not because of what they were designed to but because they have character compared to today's aircraft - carrying the lines of a bygone era. I began with graphite pencil drawings and then acrylics a few years later. I'm now all oils - looking to mate the impressionism of Turner and Monet to aviation. | hope that shows through with the pieces here. It's been a challenge, but I'm working on it.
