Carl March (Original watercolors)

Carl March Born 1959, studied at Solihull College before travelling to Milan to work with master printmaker Oliviero Masi, returning to the UK in 1984 to start his own etching workshop. His work is defined by strong drawing and design elements, he likes to experiment with various media such as soft crayons, brushes and bamboo pens. These techniques combined with traditional painting processes help create a distinctive subtlety throughout his work. Until recently he was living in Dubai, this gave him the opportunity to sketch this spectacular modern city. Before leaving he was a regular exhibitor in the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibitions and elected a fellow of the RSA in London. His work is represented in many private collections including many commissions, one of which was presented to HRH Princess Anne at Buckingham Palace.
