Emma Humphrey
My work is primarily painting, using acrylics, oils, inks, and mixed media. The focus of my work is figurative, but I also paint abstract landscapes and draw with charcoal.
My work draws on and expresses the emotions of my painful experiences in life, a safe place where I can explore difficult feelings and thoughts, and make sense of these experiences. It can be a way to find comfort, calmness, and solace. Having been dominated by others, my art is where I can explore my identity.
