Melanie Maquinay

An eclectic and idealistic artist, Mélanie Maquinay is passionate about new experiences and discoveries through her travels. After studying painting, fashion design and visual media, she settled down in inspiring places such as Kent (UK), San Francisco (USA) and Brussels (BE). 

Born in Liège, her professional career has led her to work in audiovisual production, web press and the cultural events sector, leading various projects between Brussels and other cities

Mélanie devotes herself fully to her first passion: art and creation. She provides multiple artistic services for individuals and companies, sharing her passion with people through team building workshops and creative sessions. Her values: making a part of everyday life for everyone, preserving a harmony between aesthetics, common sense and emotions, and doing so with respect for the environment.

Her works, when painting or creating objects come in a variety of decorative styles: illustration of the plant world, the human being and his deconstructed body, with a sophisticated color palette, abstract scenes or compositions of retro, colorful patterns.

As an eternal curious, she is constantly exploring new art techniques and creations. Her inspirations include Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Cubism, Cobra and Pop Art, all of which feed her constantly evolving artistic approach.
Mélanie also applies her know-how to interior design and space planning. Her projects aim to integrate art, upcycling and vintage furniture, plants and tailor-made wall art, for private homes and for businesses.
Her goal is to spread art that conveys positive, sustainable values, while celebrating a rich, meaningful aesthetic. Her constant creativity links the visual arts, culture and human relationships in an inspiring and enduring vision. Mélanie Maquinay recently opened her studio near Liège (Belgium) a multi-functional space that reflects her creative universe.
