Nguyen Ba Tuan

Nguyen Ba Tuan was born in 1974 in Ha Nam Province (in the North of Vietnam) and graduated from the Fine Art Faculty of Stage and Screen University in Hanoi in 2001.

Over the past 10 years, his work has regularly been exhibited in Vietnam as well as in Hungary, Poland and Singapore.

Ba Tuan works extensively on textures to create bold and strong art pieces with a lot of emotion. He mostly paints country views of North Vietnam, and despite the use of very vibrant colours, he is able to create a sense of serenity and peacefulness in the traditional country life of Vietnam. His work is mostly monochromatic with only a detail or a touch of a different colour creating a contrast that brings his whole sceneries to life.

Nguyen Ba Tuan lives with his wife and two children in Hanoi.
